The Gospel Opportunity in the Metro NYC Area
The Big Apple is the Apple of God’s eye because of its people, for whom Jesus died and rose again. More than 150 nations are represented in Metro NYC, with over 800 languages spoken. Roughly one in fifteen Americans call this Metro home, yet only about four in every 100 call Jesus Lord. That means there is 96% Gospel Opportunity, and Gospel movement is happening! Since 2000, evangelical adherence in Center City NYC has grown from less than 1% to over 5%. Over half of Manhattan’s churches have been planted during that time. Imagine a future where 10% of Metro NYC residents follow Jesus devotedly!
